What is Profhilo®?
The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo® stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.
One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. How does Profhilo® work?
Profhilo® is a miracle skin booster. Hailed as a bio-remodeling innovation, Profhilo® delivers the highest levels of ultra-pure Hyaluronic Acid directly into the skin. In only 30 minutes, the skin is nourished from the inside out, delivering immediate glowing, glass-like, radiant skin.
Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. The treatment simultaneously stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin in the skin, as this takes effect over the next few weeks skin is naturally rejuvenated, improving tone and texture, restoring elasticity, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles with a visible ‘lifting’ effect.
Hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic, meaning it draws and holds water from your body. Therefore, Profhilo® acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. This makes it fantastic for those with tired, dull-looking skin; transforming it into a firm and luminous skin. This effect takes place within 3-5 days of treatment.
Over the next few weeks, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. This is useful because levels of collagen, elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin rapidly decline from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles, and lacklustre skin. Profhilo® acts to reverse some of these changes.
The maximum effect of Profhilo® is usually seen 2 to 3 months after the second treatment.
What to expect from your treatment?
Profhilo® is injected just below the skin’s surface over a recommended 2 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Upon injection, it disperses quickly beneath the skin to improve hydration without any need for massage or the risk of leaving lumps or nodules.
A single course of Profhilo® makes the skin glow, fine lines will reduce and you will notice smoother and tighter skin. A course of two treatments can be repeated every six months as needed to maintain the results or as recommended during your consultation.

Aftercare
The downtime following a Profhilo® treatment is minimal, and you should be able to return to normal daily activities immediately after your procedure. However, we recommend that you avoid physically strenuous activities and sports on the first day after the treatment, and minimise going to the sauna or having steamy baths for the first few days. You should also avoid intense sun or UV light exposure for the first few days after treatment.

Profhilo® is administered through fine needles, therefore, is considered a comfortable treatment as such is popular with patients of all ages and concerns.
We can apply a topical numbing cream pre-treatment should you be concerned about pain management.

One of the reasons why this skin-boosting treatment is so popular is the little downtime alongside minimal side effects.
Some redness or small bumps at the point of injection may be experienced. These are minimal and will subside within a few hours post-treatment.
We advise all clients to avoid firm massage after the placement of the product into the skin – in order to allow the product to distribute naturally for optimal results.

Post-Profhilo® it is recommended patients allow a few hours for gentle recovery. During this time limit exercise, makeup, and swap exfoliants for gentle, soothing skincare.
